How it is made

Earth, glaze and fire

Nothing is cast or pressed in a mould. Every piece passes through our hands from the first lump of clay to the final firing.

  1. 01

    Clay

We start with natural clay, wedged by hand to remove air and give it an even, living texture.

  2. 02

    Shape

Each piece is thrown on the wheel, trimmed by hand and signed with the CERAMI stamp on its base.

  3. 03

    Glaze and fire

We glaze every piece by hand and fire it in the kiln, which gives each glaze its own small variations.

About the studio

A small studio with slow hands

CERAMI is a small ceramics studio making tableware that feels calm on the table: honest materials, simple shapes and colours borrowed from earth and stone.

We release our work in small drops instead of mass production. That way every piece gets the time it needs, and nothing is made that will not be used and loved.

Questions

Good to know

Anything else? Write to info@ceramistudio.com.

What is a CERAMI drop?

A drop is a small batch of new handmade pieces released online at a set date and time. Each drop has a limited number of pieces, and when they are sold the drop is over. Sign up for drop emails to hear about the next one first.

Is every piece unique?

Yes. Every piece is thrown on the wheel and glazed by hand, so the shape, glaze and size vary slightly from piece to piece and from the photos. These small differences are part of handmade ceramics, not defects.

Where do you ship and how much does it cost?

We ship tracked to Slovakia, Czechia, Austria, Hungary, Poland and Germany. Shipping is €4.90 and free on orders over €80. Every parcel is carefully wrapped in recycled paper.

Can I return a piece?

Yes. You can return any piece within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. If something arrives broken, send us a photo and we will replace or refund it.

How do I pay?

Checkout is handled by Stripe, so you can pay securely by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Your card details never touch our website.

How should I care for handmade ceramics?

Check the care line on each piece's page. As a rule, hand washing keeps glazes beautiful for longest, and avoiding sudden temperature changes protects the clay.

Do you make custom sets or work with cafés and restaurants?

Yes. Write to info@ceramistudio.com with what you have in mind, how many pieces you need and your timeline.
